Projects
CreightonEli.github.io
I utilized my skills with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to develop my own online portfolio where I can better showcase my work. I plan for this site to be steadily built upon as I continue to grow my knowledge of this field.
RepositoryBlackjack Game
Made with HTML, SCSS, JavaScript, and the Deck of Cards API by Chase Roberts.
I love playing card games. So, I decided to challenge myself to create one of these games for the web.
Zaréte Online Store
Starting from my own initial design files to gauge the desired look of the site, I worked with a team to develop the front end of Zaréte’s online store utilizing Odoo.
Advice Generator App
I took on a challenge from Frontend Mentor to create an app utilizing the Slip Advice API, making sure it
resembles the design files they provided as closely as possible. I used my eye for detail to be certain the
code was pixel perfect.
The app itself generates a random short piece of advice from the Slip Advice API with the press of a button.
Prototype Band Site
I had to utilize various skills in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, as well as
Adobe Photoshop for some of the photo assets to make them better suited for the web.
The site is still in the early stages of development but looks very promising and I'm very
happy with the functionality that it already has.
HTML Canvas Test
I created a very interactive and responsive effect with JavaScript and the use of HTML5's canvas
element. I had been meaning to learn more about canvas, so it served as an excellent learning
opportunity. It also allowed me to brush up a bit on my JavaScript.
I actually liked the final effect so much that I incorporated it into the background of this site.
Neobrutalist Component
I kept seeing this style appear online in various web development forums and finally decided I'd take a crack at replicating it. This was more of an exercise of my CSS muscles. The final effect utilizes CSS's flex capabilities to create a beautiful, interactive, responsive, and modular card template.
RepositoryDF Language Translator
I developed a program using Java SE and Swing that would translate English into a fictional language from the simulation game Dwarf Fortress. I am currently working on a browser version of the application in my free time.
RepositoryUSF Go-To Designs
I worked with a small team of fellow students to design multiple low and high-fidelity wireframes in Balsamiq for a website that would promote events and blog posts related to health and wellness activities around USF’s campuses.
